Traditional web analytics tools like Google Analytics are a great for both small and large bloggers and publishers. However, traffic data can only tell you so much. As conversations surrounding blog posts start to take in place other places (Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, etc.) and people use tumble blogs like Tumblr and Posterous to quickly comment and share helpful information, tracking that data and its correlation to overall traffic numbers...

QuoteURL is a way to keep tweets grouped together that might not be in a threaded conversation.  Also it grabs them before they might get washed away but the tide of tweets over time. To grab a tweet you must get the individual status URL from the web itself and paste it into the site.  If you wish not to log in, you can grab up to 4 tweets.  If you decide to log in you can get up to 10.  This helps control the API limits that might be encountered...

The announcement this weekend that Tr.im will shut down has deeply worrying implications for URL shorteners: when these services go away, tens of thousands of links on the web simply stop working. Some sites will lose hundreds of inbound links, and the traffic that comes with them. After a recent decision by Digg to simply redirect their shortURLs to their own site, there’s a great deal of concern that other services will simply shut down...
