Foursquare Beats Yelp and Gowalla in Reader Poll

January 22nd, 2010 admin

It’s been another exciting week here in our long-running Faceoff Series . We pitted three of the top “check-in” location-based mobile services against each other to find out which among them is the preferred choice for Mashable readers. The results are now in, and we’ve got ourselves a winner: Foursquare takes the title! With 47% of the vote, the service beat out check-in newcomer Yelp with 26% of the vote. Coming in close to Yelp in third place was Gowalla at 20% of the vote, and a 6% tie ballot rounded out this week’s faceoff. Are you surprised by the results? Do you feel another candidate should have been included in the check-in services…
