
Responding to increased errors, inability to tweet

We’re looking into the cause of the 500 errors that are being seen by users on twitter.com. We’re also working on the posting problems that many people are running into when trying to create tweets.

We’ve been contending with an elevated number of errors since late last night. We’ve ruled out a number of causes of this problem but are still working to reduce the number of errors on the site. Posting tweets via SMS is currently unavailable. Some tweets are also not being delivered via text (the outbound service). We are actively working on the underlying cause of both problems and hope to restore service soon.
