A Tool for Business
It’s not uncommon to stumble upon a store that encourages its customers to follow them on Twitter. Without even looking I see this happening more and more, which says a lot about the wonderfully simple concept of doing business on Twitter. Today, Citysearch has integrated Twitter into their service so local businesses can display Tweets right within...

TweetBuffet – don’t eat here
TweetBuffet is a site designed to get you followers, whether they are bots, fake accounts or who knows what.  The help is limited and the FAQ is dismal, but let’s look anyway. The main idea seems to be that you sign up, follow others and the service gets others that sign up to follow you.  No one cares what you tweet about, how often,...

Fwix Attempts to Fill the Local News Void
One of the most distressing aspects of the freefalling newspaper industry is the effect that has on local news reporting. Although the fall of local papers is certainly an opportunity for bloggers and community-driven news sites, for news consumers, finding local news can become increasingly difficult. Yesterday, Fwix launched, and it’s...

Use Mixero to Reduce Twitter Noise
If you follow a lot of people on Twitter, you have probably already faced an information overload problem. When choosing who to follow, you would probably read their recent tweets and decide if the person is interesting to you. TweetMondo – find Twitter users close to you
TweetMondo works better the more precise your list your own location.  It allows you to find others in your area as well as them to find you, depending on privacy systems. You can see the number of people in a location, but not details until you log into the site itself.  I used a test account and tried out the local city. I did not like the...

New Front Page!
Today we’re trying a redesigned front page for folks who are new to Twitter.com. If you’re a regular around these parts, then you won’t notice the new look unless you sign out of your account. Helping people access Twitter in more relevant and useful ways upon first introduction lowers the barrier to accessing the value Twitter...

There are lots of interesting people to follow on Twitter, but few as novel as @IvyBean104 , who is celebrating her 104th birthday today.
